This is a complete kit to upgrade your 73-79 Ford truck to 99-04 Super Duty hydroboost power brakes. This provides phenomenally more braking power than your factory vacuum booster. This kit includes Super Duty hydrobooster, Super Duty master cylinder, brackets to mount to 73-79 Ford (there are some differences, I need to know about your truck!), complete plumbing with assembled AN PTFE hose and fittings, and two new brake lines. Picture #2 shows everything that is included. This is a first of its kind- a complete bolt in kit designed to work on 1979 and older Ford F100, F150, F250 and F350 trucks that gives you a later model Super Duty hydroboost brake booster and master cylinder! You will get significantly more fluid pressure and volume coming out of this master cylinder. This kit installs in about an hour and requires no cutting or permanent modification. It works with your existing brake pedal. The master cylinder will have a 1 3/8″ (1.375″) bore. Your factory master cylinder likely has a bore of 1.00″ or 1.25″. Assuming you have the larger 1.25″ bore, the factory bore size has surface area of 1.227 square inches. A bore of 1 3/8″ has surface area of 1.485 square inches. This makes for an increase of about 21% of fluid coming out of the master cylinder as compared to your factory one, with the same amount of brake pedal movement. In other words, goodbye squishy/low brake pedal! This is overkill and too much for drum/drum brakes. This is really meant for disc brakes! This brake booster will be powered by hydraulic fluid from the steering pump. Your factory power steering pump will work great to power this and you will not have any adverse effects on your power steering. You will of course need to have a good functioning power steering pump, so if yours is questionable, now is a good time to replace! These Super Duty hydro boosters are about as powerful as they get! Most factory 73-39 brake boosters are either a single 9″, a single 11″ or a dual 9″. You will feel like your braking power doubles with this kit. This is really meant for disc brakes. Drum brakes will feel like they want to lurch and lock up. When you purchase, you need to tell me the following things, if a couple days go by without me getting this info, I will cancel the order: -Year, model, engine, and any relevant modifications to your truck. -Any concerns or things unique to your vehicle I need to know about not listed below. -Steering type- highboy power assist, regular power steering, manual steering, etc -Factory brake booster type- cantilever, angled booster with short rod, parallel booster with long rod. Feel free to send me a picture of your firewall and up under your dash for help with this -Steering pump pressure fitting type- 5/8″ inverted flare male or 5/8″ inverted flare female are common.  These brackets are designed, cut out on a CNC plasma table and welded right here in the USA. All hoses and fittings are sourced from top quality manufacturers such as Aeroquip, Russell and ICT Billet. You will not find any cheap aluminum Chinese knockoff parts here. 
 FAQ: 
 
 Will this work with front drum brakes? 
 No, these will cause unintentional skidding with drum brakes in the front. Disc brakes in the front and drum in the rear is ok. You will need the right proportioning valve of course, and perhaps an adjustable proportioning valve. 
 What should I do about my proportioning valve? 
 Regardless of your booster and master, you need a good working proportioning valve that matches your vehicle and your intended use of that vehicle. A factory drum/drum proportioning valve sends fairly equal pressure to the front and rear seems to work well with disc/disc brakes as they require fairly equal pressure. 
 
 How long does this take to install? 
 This conversion can be installed in two to three hours by an experienced mechanic or perhaps a weekend if you havent turned a wrench before. Obstacles such as breaking rusty original fittings or bolts, etc can add to the time and complication. 
 Do I need to upgrade any brake parts to handle the higher pressure? 
 You should plan on replacing all three rubber brake hoses if they are old or you are unsure of your age. Factory style is fine. 
 
 Will my factory power steering pump power this ok?
