This is an 7 foot aftermarket cable that’s compatible with NCR, Aloha, and Radiant Systems PCR bump bars connected to the 12 volt RS232 serial port on a kitchen controller / Kitchen Display Systems (KDS). We sell longer 14′ long and 25′ long versions of this cable on other listings. This is the same as, and compatible with, serial cables with part numbers 1639-K072, 497-0483267 Rev B, CB10548, CB10498, 1639-K070, 497-0483265 and CB10546. If you can’t find a part number on your existing cable, then see the lists below for compatible bump bars and controllers. This cable is 84 inches with two 6-pin RJ-12 male ends for compatible 12V applications. Technically, a 6-wire to 6-pin configuration is called 6P6C with a RJ-12 end, but it’s commonly referred to by the similar RJ-11 nomenclature. There is no such thing as a universal point of sale cable, so the pin-outs will differ widely for different brands and models. This will commonly connect to a COM or SER (often #3 or #4) port on the compatible terminal, but consult your technical manual for confirmation. This is an NCR adapter to connect the RS-232 / DB25 serial port on the back of compatible POS receipt printers to a point of sale system using a RJ-45 cable (cable is not included). The second photo shows an example of the earlier version of this adapter installed on a receipt printer. This photo is intended as an example of the application and only the black adapter in the first photo will be included. No cables, printers, or other components are included. This adapter is commonly compatible with the following serial receipt or kitchen ticket printers with a 25-pin interface card on the back.
